House Music. It’s a strange genre isn’t it. It can be the best way to start a weekend, getting you up on your feet, ready to hit the dancefloor but then it also gets you mellow, chilled out and relaxed listening to the beats, bass and piano tinkling away.

We love house music so it was only fair to make a little mix with some of the best tracks out at the moment. You may not had heard of some and you may have no idea who any of the producers are but I’m sure you will enjoy this. You will either want to hit the town or hit it on your mp3 player and listen while gazing at the stars.

The undisputed breakout star of 2010, Tinie Tempah has had an incredible year. Few debut artists boast two massive hit singles, a Glastonbury performance on the Pyramid stage and an appearance on Jonathan Ross. Yet the 21 year-old South Londoner has captivated music fans, celebrities and critics alike in just a matter of months especially us here at ZeroSeven.

His major label debut single Pass Out has had in excess of 11 million views on YouTube, while it’s follow-up, Frisky shot straight to No.2 and has been viewed over 8 million times. Combined, both singles have sold upwards of 750,000 copies.

Tinie looks set for yet another smash with his forthcoming third single, Written In The Stars. Produced by Swedish powerhouse Ishi, the single is a euphoric feel good anthem that details the 21 year-old’s past, present and future ambitions.

“I’m trying to live the dream and other people can do the same if they put their mind to it. That’s what the song is about. You can do everything I’ve done, if you’re determined and driven enough.”

Featuring the incredible vocals of Boston newcomer Eric Turner, the epic, synth-led single features crisp drums, razor-sharp guitars and a considered message delivered in Tinie’s uniquely credible style.

With Pass Out being one of the standout track of the summer, Tinie has played every significant stage from Wireless and the Big Chill, to Glastonbury and Ibiza Rocks alongside our favourites Swedish House Mafia. In May, Damon Albarn invited Tinie to join him on Jonathan Ross to perform with Gorillaz, while in June Snoop Dogg, who did a remix of Pass Out, asked Tinie to join him on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury. He’s won celebrity fans in the form of Prince William and P. Diddy – who enlisted Tinie for the remix of his latest single Hello, Good Morning – while Paris Hilton booked the rapper for a private party in Cannes. Having toured with Jay-Z, Chase & Status, Rihanna and Mr. Hudson, Tinie recently announced his own headline tour, which opens in October. The preceding week, Tinie will release his highly-anticipated debut album, Disc-Overy.

If you have not heard of the Swedish House Mafia… Where the f**k have you been!?

The Swedish House Mafia is a group of three house DJs and producers: Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. Eric Prydz is a former member of the group. The Swedish House Mafia released their first official single “One” under the name Swedish House Mafia on Beatport on May 26 2010.

SHM Fact of the day: Axwell has said the formation of the Swedish House Mafia occurred when he moved to Stockholm and met Sebastian Ingrosso while drinking, he later met Steve Angello through Ingrosso. “The name is just a random thought.”, as described by Steve Angello, it occurred outside a 7 Eleven at late night while drinking coffee.

This week we’re bring you our Weekend Anthems mix in a house stylee. “We’re in the house, we’re in the motherf**kin’ house”. Some people will like this mix and other’s won’t. That’s what music is all about and that is also why we’re gonna’ try our best to give you another little mix tomorrow full of some hip-hop tracks just ’cause it’s a genre that we don’t usually talk much about.
