Meet Bradley. Also known as Tisoki. A producer based right here in Edinburgh and has played alongside acts such as Flux Pavilion, Roksonix, Brown & Gammon, Feint, Stan SB, Boy Kid Cloud, Dimension and Memro in the UK and not too long ago, has taken his live show to Belgium. The boy’s even got support from BBC Radio 1 and knocked up a number one on Dubstep.net!

So tell us, Where did the name Tisoki come from? No doubt you’ve been asked this before!

It’s an anagram of “It Is Ok”, there’s another meaning behind it but it’s too disgusting for an interview.

Tell us a bit about yourself. How did you find yourself producing and creating the massive electronic sounds that your renowned for?

I spend a lot of time on my own, as a teenager I tried to be the center of attention at school and thought being big headed was cool when it really wasn’t so I guess these days I just lock myself in my studio away from everything and just stick my mind straight to music.

Let’s talk about Edinburgh’s scene, it been under a lot of scrutiny recently. How do you see the scene here and if you could do anything to improve it what would you do?

Oh deary me, I don’t even think I have a foot to stand on regarding this topic, the number of internet wars and facebook arguments I’ve thrown myself into is ridiculous and I really have to stop it, basically like I said in another interview, there’s two major sides from my point of view, Electrikal and XY, I think both are doing amazing jobs with sold out gigs basically every time around, Electrikal is more suited to the underground kinda crew and XY is more student, housey stuff but both are great, I guess if I could do anything to improve the scene I’d fuck off and move somewhere else, I have the biggest mouth ever and if someone fucks my friends over I regrettably make an online rant about it, fuck my life.

Club Nights. What’s been your best so far?

I haven’t really done many club nights. I loved Antwerp in Belgium and Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh, both amazing vibes and lovely people.

And if you could play anywhere in the world, where would you choose?

America, LA or some huge festival, it’s always been my dream, hopefully one day. *sobs into arms*

What’s next for Tisoki?

A lot more releases, my song Twerk should be out soon enough but recently I’ve been lacking as I couldn’t find a label but now it’s all set and go with my dudes, more shows for sure, possibly in other parts of the world, that’s all I can really say at the moment, oh and a lot more annoying vine posts of me on public transport!

Nope, sadly they ain’t touring. Apparently. Pharrell you lying little… However we came across this little gem doing the round on twitter this morning. Only fair that we share the goodness of Daft Punk live from Glasgow back in 1997. Daft Hype and all that.

Bass trio Nero, have joined Beyonce, Lana Del Rey and Florence + The Machine and more, on the soundtrack for ’The Great Gatsby‘, with there song ’Into The Past‘.

With the song starting off with heavy breathing, you are quickly drawn in, then met with heavy bass and Alana Watson‘s breathy vocals.

Fringe wearing B-traits has already given them the tag of ‘hot tipped producers of 2013′ and so far she is bang on. The boys are busy behind the decks rocking floors at The Rainbow Warehouse [Birmingham], Cable [London], Junk [Southampton] the list goes on..

I felt with the heartbreaking news of  one of the capitals best underground venues, Cable, closing it was only right to share Crown Duels’s live set from that very venue..

I have been lucky enough to hear some new bits from Crown Duels and mark my word they will have a strong second half of the year.

For starters below is their bass driven remix of - Mad Villains & Chris Parkin – Tell Me Again.

We caught up with the boys to see how Crown Duels came about, what inspires them, how they play out live and some other random stuff

How did “Crown Duels” came about?

We were thinking of words that sound the same but spelt different. Duels/Jewels was one of the first I thought of.

What and who inspires your sound?

Lots of things inspire me, from day to day sounds and the weather to other artsits and films etc. Its nice to have the UKG stuff on youtube as Im not always in the mood to make club bangers. Love making euphoric , melodic , vocal driven garage tracks to listen to and it gives me a break from making club orientated tracks.

As a duo how do your sets work?

We use Machine pads with an array of vox stabs, hits etc , we also have set sequences that we are constantly improving and evolving. All tracks are edited down to about 1-2 mins so we fit loads in and yes we mix back to back. It works really well we have found, we are certainly very hands on when it comes to live shows!

What is your favourite venue/party you have played?

Cable & XoYo were just amazing. Love going to London to play!

If you are offered a rider what is your 1st request?

JD honey and a persian cat.

London rapper Wretch 32 was one of the biggest breakthrough acts to come out of 2011 and he begins the build-up to his next album with the drop of ‘Blackout’.

The ‘Unorthodox’ star dropped by for a chat with Mistajam on BBC 1Xtra earlier this month and unveiled the lead single from his second album, which is still untitled at this point in time. We haven’t heard from Wretch since the Kano inspired ‘Pop’, which although was a tune we did enjoy, it wasn’t a stand out track at the time.

Wretch brought through UK vocalists L. Marshall and Josh Kumra with singles from his debut LP and he’s trying the same trick again, handing Shakka a slot on the chorus for ‘Blackout’. Production on the uplifting track has been handled by Knox Brown.

‘Blackout’ is out on 12.05.13 on Ministry of Sound Recordings / Levels Entertainment.

Bought the car at the end of February as i had been on a test drive and loved it the moment i set foot in it. I’m only 19 and this was also the best car i could get insured on. 1.6 Zetec S not bad for a first car!

This is the car the day i got it home. Still standard… Quick wash then fired out for a drive. Used a few barrels of fuel that night!

I’m only an apprentice at the moment so after splashing a fair whack of notes on the car i couldn’t spend much on mods so began tinkering with the cheap end of the mod scale.

I had ordered a few parts off ebay and they came the next weekend, these included Black/Red DMB gel badge overlays, red valve caps and Climair wind deflectors. Went for a wee photo shoot after i added these.

Bought some mirror caps from ebay, 19.99 for the pair. Sprayed them gloss back.

Next job was to colour code the interior plastics to match the Colorado Red paintjob. Here’s a few pics of the process

Then fitted a DMB gel badge onto the steering wheel.

Next mod i did was fitting a drilled airbox with Pipercross filter. Makes a difference to the sound and feels a bit nippier in lower gears.

Last mod i done was painting my upper grille gloss black. Here’s a few pics of the process. It’ll look better once i get round to doing the other grille.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
“I’m still not 100% sure. It changed all the time. It probably would have been to become a professional footballer or golfer.”

What’s the worst club you’ve been to?
“Shanghai (George Street). I’ve been twice and its been absolutely packed. No space to move, queue for like 30mins for a drink.”

What’s been your worst job?
“I don’t want to sound like a dick but, Oxfam. Its a great charity but they didn’t like me and I had to handle clothes that people had died in.”

What are you obsessed with right now?
“Singularity-Horizon. Such an incredible tune. Also Californication. Favourite TV Show at the moment.”

And what do you hate right now?
“Being controversial here but fuck it. I’m not a fan of deep house. I wouldn’t say “hate” just not my cup of tea.”

When and where were you happiest?
“School surprisingly. I was surrounded by great people! They always had time for my music even from the beginning.”

How do you describe what you do to someone who doesn’t know you?
“I would tell them I’m a musician. Then I’d explain that I write electronic music etc. I would then go on to describe myself as a big shot with a bright future but the level of modesty depends on what stage of the day/night it is.”

Have you ever been arrested? And if so, what for?
“No, not yet ”

What’s the best record ever made?
“I’ve not got a clue! However, my favourite albums are probably Graduation by Kanye West or Absolution by Muse. 

What’s the coolest thing in your house?
“200 year old grandfather clock. “

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever had?
“It changes all the time but something that has always stuck is..” Having a dream and a vision are two completely different things. Its the man with the vision who succeeds whilst the man with dream is still dreaming.”

Who’s your all-time hero and why?
Either Alan Shearer, Hank Moody or Samuel L. Jackson. I am a big Newcastle United fan so I have a lot of love for Shearer. Hank Moody because although he is fictional I still think he is a great guy and a role model.  Samuel L. Jackson….well he’s Samuel L. Jackson so that explains itself.

When’s your next gig?
“It’s 29th April. I will be supporting Michael Woods and Felix Leiter in Sunderland!”

On a scale of 1 t0 10, how good are you in the sack?
“10″

What’s your prized possession you still own from when you we’re a kid?
“I still have my replica Millennium Falcon! I haven’t seen it in a while but I’m sure it’s still in one piece! “

What do you spend your money on?
“Clothes, holidays and music related items. My friends would disagree heavily with that last sentence but fuck it this is my interview!”

What can you not live without?
“Internet, music, friends, family and my dog.”

What’s the worst item of clothing you’ve ever worn?
“I bought this dark pink cardigan like 4 years ago. I think I had worn it twice but thankfully I’ve got rid of it now haha. WTF was I thinking!?”

If you had a tardis, what time would you go to?
“I would love to go see the Gladiators in the Colosseum.”

Despite this tune being a banger, it’s lacking that vocal (and no doubt it will come).  Something to give it the final oomph. Which because of that it only ends up with a 7/10 which is quite disappointing when it comes to TNGHT. But then that just might be the whole ‘trap’ scene. It not really exciting us here at ZeroSeven.
