Darren MacDonald, 24 from Edinburgh, started dj-ing in 2011 and playing in Edinburgh clubs in June 2011. His love for music and Ibiza sparked his passion for dj-ing and keeps the dream alive of Ibiza domination. Darren smashes out the best and most up to date Electro/Dutch house with a little bit of House/Tech house thrown in the mix too.
DazziMac co runs local Edinburgh club night Sample. Sample is an up and coming event with DazziMac’s help, is looking to be one of Edinburgh’s best nights yet!
When partnered with Ryan Wallace, They are known as 2Twisted. The two lads passion for dj-ing can be heard through the decks and seen by all who enjoy fist pumping along!
As well as Sample, Darren has played along side some of Scotland’s best DJ’s in events such as Elements, Hybrid, Club Together and Filthy Fridays. Soon, he will be featured in the warm up slot for DJ’s such as Jason Cortez at Octav8.

How did you get into Music? Take us right back to the young days of Darren.
Ever since a little kid I have used music for motivation and to relax in my own wee world. After spending 7 summers going to ibiza i decided to give the Djing a go for myself. I love the scene.
What’s your ultimate direction? Are you seeking fame and fortune?
I want to make people dance, I wouldnt say I am seeking fortune nor fame I just want to Dj/produce and if fortune and fame come from that then it’s a bonus 
Do you like to work alone or with other people?
I love working alone but when myself and Ryan Wallace get together and become 2 Twisted everything just goes better. I would love to work with big artists in the future.
Who is your dream artist to work with?
If I could work with any 1 of the Swedish House Mafia it would be like a dream come true, individually there an sensational but together they just blow me away.
What has been your biggest challenge so far?
Promotion for the night I co-run called Sample, it’s coming together now and we are aiming to make it Edinburgh’s biggest newest club night in the city.
What’s your dream gig?
It would have to be one of the biggies, Love parade in Germany, Sensation, Space Ibiza.
What music do you listen to in your spare time and enjoy?
Always got pumping beats on, electro and progressive house. Swedish house Mafia, Laidback Luke, Afrojack, Avicci, Sydney Samson, S.V.D.
What’s your all-time favourite track?
What a question, but it has to be Delirium - Silence.
How can fans-to-be gain access to your music?
I have a facebook fan page under Dj Dazzimac and I upload mixes to Soundcloud and Mixcloud which can be accessed threw my facebook page
Do you have any tips for other young DJ/Producers who want to succeed?
There is alot of new Dj’s and producers out there, I hate to say it but where I am from the scene is dying but stick it out when the going gets tough and do it purely for the love of music.
