Playlist: Gill

Published on February th, 2011

Welcome to a new feature on ZeroSeven, where we let you know what we’ve been listening to this week and hopefully giving you some new music from artists that you love. There will be a ‘playlist’ from a different member of the ZeroSeven crew every week meaning your getting a wide variety of great music.

This week, we’ve got the loud sounds of rock from Gill. He’s collected 7 of his top tracks from this week.

Pendulum – Crush

What do I need to say about this track, it’s a new one from Pendulum and I’m sure that should be enough, Awesome!

Twin Atlantic – Edit Me

Good old Glaswegian band here for you, never really listened to their stuff before but this track seemed to have caught my ears. Very catchy indie sort of track and well worth a listen.

Framing Hanley – Stupid Girl

Now, this band doesn’t get enough recognition. I have always loved this band since their cover of Lil Waynes “lollipop”. Currently touring the UK for their most recent album and just realised this track off it and currently one of my favorites.

Sum 41 – Screaming Bloody Murder

It’s been a long time coming but Sum 41 have released a new track. With this it sounds like they have gone back to their older style of rock like on the “Does This Look Infected?” album. Well worth looking out and glad to have them back!

Yashin – Stand Up

Another Scottish band for you here, very catchy chorus on this track here. Yashin are fairly new and looking to firmly find their place in the world of rock. With tracks like this they sure will.

A Day To Remember – All I Want

Something a little heavier here for you all, A day to remember have held back on the screaming vocals for this one but keeping the heavy guitar riffs with a great backing beat it still gets your blood going, great track and awesome video in for this one with a lot of cameos from rockstars such as Fallout Boys Pete Wenze, Trivium’s Matt Heafy and Architect’s Sam Carter just to name a few.

Elvis Presley – Suspicious Minds (Viva Elvis)

Last but certainly not least is a new, revamped version of the Kings song “suspicious minds” giving it a modern backing track with Elvis’s original voice over it. Just think of it as Elvis replaced Brandon Flowers from the Killers and that’s the sound this track has.

Make sure to check it out next week when another member of the ZeroSeven gives you their top tracks. Let us know your favourite tracks by commenting below or via our popular Facebook page.
